On the Bosnian Pyramids
Bosnian Pyramid?
I have argued in my book, "In Search of the Origin of Pyramids", that the Bosnian Pyramids are in fact very real. Of course this depends on what we mean by pyramid! (For a more detailed explanation of what is below, please consult my book!)
People have said 'the Bosnian pyramids cannot be real pyramids because they are too big to have been built and there is no evidence for this... pyramids are always built!' Sadly these are the wrong experts as they do not specialise in pyramids. I agree with Osmanangic, who does. Here is why...
The experts are going by what the 'modern definition' of what a pyramid is. (Something that looks like Egytp) A pyramid however should be defined by what ancient peoples thought it was. Unfortunately it is not even close to the pure Greek word 'pyramid'. This word means fire within.
I believe that particular term relates to the residence of the fire god (Khnum) inside the Great Pyramid, and inside every stupa in Asia, as 'Budh'. Budh is a joker figure as well as the fat laughing man that people buy to ornament their gardens. This character is fat because he is 'gigantic' and synonymous with prometheus or Loki, thrown out of heaven for messing things up, but here to 'help man', in Stone-Age religious eyes. He is not the same as Guatama Buddha (a historical person who practiced fasting all his life!) but in truth the two have become synonymous. Since the giant Loki is of very large size, like Budh, the tomb cannot be of normal size!
In this regard, pyramids are really built for good luck but also fertility as it causes the lanscape around to resemble a fertile river valley surrounded by these artificial mountains. This is the principle of 'white magic' at work!
But is that the Egyptian definition? I hardly think so! I covered the actual original Egyptian defintion of pyramid in a video, reproduced here. I stumbled upon the actual definition in the 1972 Britannica that my father wisely bought long ago, as a source of enduring knowledge in the pre-Internet days!
That's right. The Egyptian defintion of pyramid, is a measure. This is why words like perimeter, perfect, perfection, precise, etc, are so similar, and relate to similar ideas! Let's have a look...
Perimeter (Greco-Egytpian root) = Circumference (Latin roots)
'Pyra-mid-er' (Elements of a 'Re-constructed' Greco-Egytpian root) = Height of Apex
They all refer to perfect measures which would have been used in the pyramid. In this way the word pyramid might be better translated as 'THE PERFECT THING', 'THE MEASURED THING'. However if we look at the exact word, it would seem to mean 'Building with a Huge Apex'. In other words, the Ancient Greeks, if they saw Cologne Cathedral... would refer to it as a Pyramid!
Having now exposed that a pyramid does not refer to a Platonic solid (Plato never mentioned it), as many seem to think, we can move on! A pyramid has 'fire within' and seems to be a monument to an ancient God, a helper of mankind.
The universal way of describing any ancient construction is to say that 'Giants built it'. In other words, giant god, Loki! This god, similar to Mercury, is basically the stone-age artificier, responsible for metal work and all the technology that say, a bronze-age civilization could muster.
The Bosnian Pyramid
I believe that a pyramid is really a 'fire within', that means something made to serve as a tomb for the fallen Angel. It doesn't matter how large it is but the larger the better. I feel that the ancients could have modified mountains to assist in making a pyramid in this way as well, and there would be nothing wrong with this.
There are a lot of facinating online resources regarding the enigma of the Bosnian Pyramids. I am a huge fan of Semir Osmanangic, and thank him for exposing this enigma to the world. It is not something to be 'debunked' or 'solved' or such, but something to be 'investigated.' This is why it is absolutely lamentable that some people have referred to it as a 'hoax'. That is almost as ridiculous as saying Mount Everest is a hoax because it is hard to climb!
Clearly there is 'something going on', and this should be investigated!
Evidence
Having spent a year of my life researching pyramids, I feel I can lend some opinion to the field. Firstly, there is a great deal of archaeology extant at the Bosnian Pyramid. This is one of the objections to Osmanangic's excavation. They say: 'why is he allowed to destroy archaeology'. Then they say 'there is no pyramid' when clearly there is something which would have been special to ancient eyes.
There is plenty of evidence that the pyramid was venerated in ancient times. One of these pieces of evidence is that the medieval town of Visoko ('Heights?') was located right on top of this pyramid! It wasn't just a town. It was the capital city! This alone shows the importance of the shape of the mountain in terms of sacred ceremony.
The thing is this... ancient people had no way of knowing if the pyramid was real or not. They simply assumed it was. This alone makes it a legitimate pyramid. Otherwise they would not have dug elaborate tunnels (found at many huge pyramids) and built the capital here. They would not have terraced the sides.
It has been argued that Osmanangic 'turned the structure into a step pyramid'. If this was true, I am not sure how he was also able to lay what seems to be a sort of natural geopolymer, flush and level, on these terraces, also.
Geologists point out the possibly natural nature of the geopolymer, but they won't say how it came to be, and they won't say why so many areas are obvious walkways, around the terraces of the pyramids. The whole mountain seems to have been a stepped terrace, similar to Inca and Pre-Inca farming practice.
Victim of 'Flood', or Catastrophe?
This brings us to the crux of the matter... Here is the thing... The pyramid appears to have been the victim of some tremenous flood or tidal wave! There has been lots of rock found at the site inconsistent with it being a mere volcanic hill! I think it may well be an enormous pyramid which has been 'covered over' by inundations, creating all this beach rock. The 'pudding stone' which has been found at the site, also resembles to me, the effects of a catastrophe.
On a beach, hard substances may catalise the formation of beach rock around them. This can happen relatively quickly, over mere decades. The beach, you see, is undergoing a 'continuous catastrophe' which is why beach rock forms so quickly. It is a catastrophic dynamic environment which spawned early life-forms. I believe that all geology in fact forms in catastrophes, (or from slow or rapid uplift) This has got to be the case, otherwise it would be eroded faster than it could form. It is not layered on over millions of years, but suddenly all at once, explaining trees trapped in coal mines.
At the Pyramid of the Sun, what has occured is that the pyramid was covered by the pudding stone, which to me are like fragments of a disater, caked in stone, from some kind of 'flood' or enormous tidal wave.
If this relates to the supercatastrophe of 12,000 years ago, then this is rather facinating. We need a catastrophe big enough to have done this. The early date raises questions. 'Did the catastrphe ENCASE AN EXISTING TERRACED PYRAMID HILL?'
Legends
There are bizarre legends about the structure. One is that it has layers like a shell. Another is that heaped soil or rocks were brought to the site. Both, I feel are consistent with global pyramid-building practice and technique.
Conclusions
In summary, 'there is something going on' which is very pyramid-like at the site. We have at the very least, a hill which was terraced, on a huge scale, and then encased in a kind of catastrophic event, in a very early time. Did the survivors... travel to Egypt?
